The STRIDE project proposes to demonstrate that the R&D of excellence in Science and Technology can have a rapid and disruptive impact in concrete application domains, notably, in the priority RIS3 domains for the NORTE Region of Portugal.
Besides R&D in Systems, Control, and Optimization, the key areas addressed are: Networked Robotic Vehicle Systems, Advanced Production Systems, Mobility, Energy and Environment, as well as applications in the Agriculture, Health and Ocean domains.

Strategy of the work plan

STRIDE project will be implemented in 36 months for the establishment of research teams, working routines and execution of research and development activities to enable the rapid transition of its R&D results to disruptive innovations. These will be achieved through an interconnected set of work packages that will allow a well–organized flow of activities towards the goals of the project:

  • WP1: Project management
  • WP2: Refinement of Scientific and Technological Objectives
  • WP3: Scientific  and Technological Research
  • WP4: CONTROL – Decision, Control, and Optimization
  • WP5: NETWORK – Decentralized and distributed computation and control
  • WP6: ENERGY – Electrical Mobility, Smart  Grids, Renewable Energy Systems
  • WP7: Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation
