During its implementation, the STRIDE project facilitated and enhanced the participation of its researchers in national and international initiatives, leading to concrete collaborations with entities such as EIT Manufacturing (European Institute of Innovation and Technology), SHIFT2RAIL (European Joint Undertaking for the Rail Sector), EMSO (Multidisciplinary Underwater and Water Column Observatory), AIRCENTER (International Research Center of the Atlantic), CCAM (Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility Association), AWES (Airborne Wind Energy Systems), and PRODUTECH (Digital Innovation Platform in Production Technology).
The project also actively participated in events and collaborations that initiated:
- Master's Course in Mathematics (2020/2021)
Collaboration among STRIDE researchers from both institutions with the Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique led to the development of the first curriculum for a Master's degree in Mathematics and the supervision of three theses. The course aims to train specialists for academic and professional activities in mathematics. This cooperation intends to expand into doctoral programs and research projects.
- SYSTEC Summer School (2020)
Launched in 2020, the SYSTEC Summer School, associated with the STRIDE project, took place between August and November in Porto. It addressed topics related to "Estimation, Control, Optimization, and Data Science" in Cyber-Physical Systems applied to areas such as Robotics and Health. With a focus on practical components, the event aimed to empower participants with advanced technical skills and teamwork. Funded by FCT and DGES, this initiative was integrated into the PEES program as a response to COVID-19, promoting in-person activities to strengthen training and innovation in technological solutions.
- PDMA Summer School (2019)
Promoted by researchers from the STRIDE project, this summer school took place at the University of Minho in September 2019, bringing together the doctoral programs in Applied Mathematics from the Universities of Coimbra, Porto, Aveiro, and Minho. The event offered intensive courses and student presentation sessions, providing an enriching opportunity for knowledge and experience exchange in advanced areas of Applied Mathematics while promoting collaboration among participants.
